Gerry's Ghost Hunt

Do you believe in ghosts? In his series Gerry's Ghost Hunt, Gerry Anderson and his investigators spent sleepless nights staking out locations in which spirits were said to lurk, searching fearlessly for evidence of a true haunting. The intrepid team visited Richhill Castle in County Armagh, The Grand Opera House in Belfast, The Workhouse Museum in Londonderry and Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast and sought out fully convincing proof of the paranormal.

Gerry's team included the Northern Ireland Paranormal Research Association (NIPRA). Armed with electromagnetic meters and laser thermometers, the spiritual investigators monitored and then documented paranormal activity in the four different locations. Gerry himself heard unexplained noises, saw light anomalies and experienced severe drops in temperature, amongst many other extraordinary occurrences – but were they evidence of a true haunting? After 24 hours of research and pursuit in each location, it took considerable bravado for a skeptical Gerry remain cool and collected. Those ghost hunters all but convinced him that they were in the company of the paranormal.

Gerry was armed with the fact, fiction and folklore of each location as well as locals' stories of previous ghostly sightings, which prepared the team for what to expect. Medium Warren Coates was on hand to communicate with the spirits, and provided evidence of lives recorded over centuries past which really set pulses racing. Gerry also heard from other first-time ghost hunters - believers and sceptics, and the series gauged their feelings, fears and expectations as they took part in the investigations.
