Weapons of Dancefloor Destruction
Mat Playford (The End)
Resident at DDD at The End, he has a string of new releases forthcoming on labels such as intimacy and Saved. Mat Playford presents his Weapons Of Dancefloor Destruction.

1. Analogue Tear  - Mat Playford (Intimacy Music)
Analogue tear is a record coming out on Paul Woolford's label intimacy and its has been given the best release date in the years calendar which is September. You hear it every week on the terrace in Space in Ibiza... there's some very promising mixes coming from the Netherlands too... think wonky house funk and ya half way there... this record is designed to make you  feel sick, play it as loud as you can and you'll no what i mean.

2. The Balance - Sandy Rivera (Black Whizz)
Has a Carl Craig style acid line running through-out and builds up to a point. It's called The Balance cos when Sandy was mixing the track i sat with him in his studio and i felt like the melody held the same tension as trapeze artist balancing on his tight rope. Call me mad but Sandy got my visualization.

3. U Got The Touch - Tim Deluxe (Skint)
This is a record that Tim originally came up with in the studio 2005 and it has developed over a few years with Sam Obernik on the vocals. I was very proud to have my remix accepted cos Tim's a close friend and it could of been embarrassing for us both hahaha. I was even more taken back to know that Laurent Garnier had been playing it in his sets.

4. Chasm - Unknown (DFA)
This is a deep, chuggy, synthy-disco track that leads up to a huge epic wonky string line... will take your head clean off and also has a massive disjointed bell riding far too loud over the top of the mix-down.

5. The Spell - May Playford (Saved Records)
The Spell is a record that's coming out on Nic Fanculli's label. It's been supported by the likes of Zabiela, Sandy Rivera, Paul Woolford and Fancuilli himself world wide. It's being released for Miami and is being promo'd now... it's basically slowed down techno with a spacey feel to it.
