Phil Lucas (Twitch)
This time around Phil Lucas, one third of quality Belfast underground club Twitch (Lavery's Attic) gives us his run down on the five most essential platters in his bulging record bag.

1. Tracy Thorn - Grand Canyon (Ada's 1st Dub) (Virgin)
I completely missed this when it was released about a month or two ago, the Ada remix is great and has a bit of a Border Community feel about it. I love Tracy Thorns vocals but I prefer the dub version of Ada's remix.

2. Lauhaus et Chaptal - Freedom Fries (Remote Area)
A chunky and percussive slice of techno, I can't stop playing this track, it always gets a good reaction.

3. Polder - Shandy (100% Pure)
A great rolling techno track that drives along nicely with lots of short drops throughout, 100% Pure is putting out some of the best techno about at the minute and is a label I always keep an eye on.

4. Fanclub ft. Precoop - Maskcatcher (Baalsaal)
This track builds really nicely and has a really dreamy feel to it. It has a great remix on the flip by Holger Zilske and Dave DK, Zilske used to produce Ellen Allien's older material. The original mix edges it though.

5. Stimming - 1000 Words In Autumn (Diynamic)
How good is this label! This track comes from a 4 track ep from what is one of the most consistant house labels out there. This track is great, it has a really deep and hypnotic groove to it, and lots of great atmospheric noises going on.
