Nik Muzka drops the half a dozen tunes that are making him happy this weather in the latest instalment of the ATL Dance Six Pack... Major Lazer - Hold The Line (Edu K Remix) Major Lazer is the coming together of two of my favourite producers Switch and Diplo and on vocal duties is Miss Santogold. This track is a DJ's dream that will get all the ladies up grinding and the blokes not too far behind. Edu K is on the remix providing us with a beast of a track that would rock any carnival. This is one tune that wont be leaving my sets for a while. Tek-One - Mate Just discovered these guys and they are right up my street. Speaker-wrecking dubstep that is delivered live. As good as these guys sound in this track I would imagine hearing it live would be an experience not to forget and hopefully they will make the trip over to these shores from London at some point. If you like your dubstep with gonads then check out their tracks. Julio Bashmore - Around This track just oozes summer and is perfect for this time of year. I found this guy while searching online for new music and was instantly smitten by his music. The track is a subtle fusion of dubbed vocals, skippy percussion and deep beats combine to make a tune that grooves along with ease. Sit back, put on your headphones and have a cold one. Fatboy Slim - Right Here Right Now (Abel Ramos Brighton With Love Mix) Everyone knows the original and though its played to death this remix does enough to resurrect it from the rave grave. Abel takes the familiar vocal hooks and riffs from the original and turns the jackometer up to 11. Put simply THIS TRACK ROCKS and no DJ can fail when it's dropped. Di Zinc - Submarines I've always been a big fan of DJ Zinc this is a little gem I've been dropping recently. Whether he's making 2-step, D&B our breaks he always comes up trumps. This time he has opted for an old school rave vibe accompanied with hints of jungle that he's converted into a breaks dancefloor bomb. LOVELY!!!! Balkansky and Temper D - Passing Through My number one comes from the Rocstar label is beyond sick. All my boxes are ticked with this tune - dirty bass, in your face beats, rave synths and a guarantee to leave devastation on any dancefloor. This track is perfect for sets when you want to up the ante from dubstep into some techno or heavy breaks and works as a perfect bridge. Also works great as a curveball in techno sets to put a firecracker up the punters buts and reignite your set. This label can do wrong with a strong output of breaks, funk, dubstep, house and hip hop, not biased or anything :o) | ||
