Six Pack
Timmy Stewart, 9th May
Timmy Stewart lets us in on a half dozen tunes floating his boat this weather in the latest installment of the ATL Dance Six Pack...

El Provost ft. D.Ham & Tina Penni - Days and Times (Elevation Recordings)
Killer release from Aruba's excellent Elevation label, that's coming over like a lost Detroit classic. Think early Ron Trent in style but with modern killer production values and an incredible male & female vox. Among a sea of dubbed out house cuts this shines like a star. Def Future classic material!!!

Jamie Jones - Summertime (Crosstown Rebels)
Jamie Jones whips up a killer deep house backing track to compliment Ost & Kjex's amazing vocal. If Prince got into making house music this should be what it would sound like, infact it might not even sound this good. Sure to be heard at all the coolest parties this Summer.

Ian Pooley feat. Tim Fuller - What I Got, Derrick Carter Dub Mix (Pooled Music)
Two house heavy weights collide on this bumping dance floor weapon. Glad to say it sounds as good as it looks on paper and alongside the likes of Brett Johnson etc it's great to see these guys producing a lot more music these days. They say house is back but to be honest I never embraced its departure in the first place.

Reset Robot - Softie (Excentric Music)
I've become a big fan of Dave Robertson's Reset Robot stuff and this newbie for Fergie's Excentric label is yet another slice of deep techno gold. It reminds me a lot of Alter Ego's Acid Jesus project from years back and therefore reminiscent of the kind of techno David Holmes used to regularly play at Sugar Sweet and Shake Ya Brain. Really looking forward to hearing more from this Robot.

R.A.W - Asuca, Sinister Industry Re-Edit (Strictly Rhythm)
Out of the archives and given a re-edit by local boys Sinister Industry is this killer Strictly Rhythm cut from believe it or not Mr. Eric 'More' Morillo. Originally released in 1993 this one has indeed stood the test of time very well and showcases a cool tribal house side to Mr. Morillo that unfortunately seems to have all but disappeared.

Michel Cleis - La Mezcla (Cadenza)
Summer tune alert!!! Ok you'll either love of hate this one from Luciano's Cadenza label. Personally, I'm glad when tunes like this come along as they help lift sets into a brighter place and literally pull people towards the dance floor. A full female Latino vocalist gets arranged around tough percussive beats and weird flutes and should easily provide Luciano's cadenza label with it's biggest hit since orange mistake. Prob not going to make much sense come winter but in the coming months and at any outdoor parties this is sure to be an instant hit and summer anthem.
