Six Pack
Gregory Ferguson, 3rd May
Mr. Jupiter Ace and AJ Suzuki main man Gregory Ferguson suggests six tunes for you to add to your musical menu. If you follow this workout, you could have a six pack like the man himself...

1. Happy Clappers - I Believe, Vandalism Mix (Art & Craft)
This is simply a thunderous track. I really like the deep gospel-style female vocal. The bassline is electro but it has a funk to it which I like. Most importantly it has a top-notch breakdown with an old skool piano sound that really contrasts with the electronic bassline. Massive.

2. AJ Suzuki - Jump Start, Skibunny Mix (Electric Life)
I've sneaked one of my own in here! Belfast's premier alternative DJ crew put a different twist on this track, replacing the electropop keyboards with chiming guitars. I really like this remix.

3. Eric Prydz - Pjanoo (Pryda)
Eric Prydz is back here with a tune that will definitely be sticking around throughout the Ibiza season. You just can't go wrong with a piano and strings breakdown! This is a really quality track that I can just imagine being played out on the Ibiza terraces as the sun goes down and maybe when comes up again!

4. Add N To X - Metal Fingers In My Body (Mute)
This is an old classic (to me anyway) that I thought I might give an airing. I always loved it when it came out about ten years ago and I think it really fits in now with the whole Ed Banger movement with its ripped up analogue synths and distorted drums. It just rocks!

5. Sydney Blu - Give It Up For Me (Mau5trap)
This is an excellent release from the ubiquitous Deadmau5's Mau5trap label. It's the kind of track I would stick in near the start of the night to get people moving. It's got some really good builds in it and a kind of chordal hit in it that reminds me of something could it be Rhythm Is A Dancer by Snap??!

6. The Whip - Sister Siam (Southern Fried)
I really like the Whip. This is a very strong album track. I love the percussive synth line at the start, it has a real Human League feel. The vocals and general production style remind me a bit of Super Furry Animals. The whole track builds gradually and it makes for a very good dancefloor tune.
