Top US TV dramas 'The Hills' and 'Girls of Hedsor Hall' on MTV have recently used music from local unsigned act the Beat Poets. Other NI acts have also featured in US hit shows including Oppenheimer and Foy Vance who have been used in 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Ugly Betty'.

The Beat Poets, who played countless industry showcases at the prestigious SXSW festival in Texas in March, are currently recording their debut album, due in 2010.

Tune into ATL on Monday May 18th for a feature on bands using their music on television and advertising.
