Canadian folk heroes Great Lake Swimmers will play their debut Belfast show in the Speakeasy on Saturday 14th November. Based around the songwriting talents of Tony Dekker they have released 4 albums since their self titled debut in 2003. 2007's effort �Ongiara' was their breakthrough effort and their fourth album �Lost Channels' released in March of this year was shortlisted for the 2009 Polaris Music Prize, the Canadian equivalent of the Mercury Music Prize. The band has been described as a mixture of Fleet Foxes and Iron and Wine. Support comes from English folksters Sleeping States.
