Snow Patrol are such celebrated stalwarts of the Northern Irish music scene these days that they now have their very own plaque in the heart of the city of Belfast! Rigsy spoke to Gary Lightbody and Jonny Quinn from the band about the early days, and looked ahead to the big gig at Ward Park in June 2010 and the exciting times ahead for the bands who are part of the current local music scene.

Before that, we also grabbed few words with Nathan and Johnny in the relaxing surrounds of the artists' area at the Oxegen festival in July, 2009. And when Snow Patrol returned to Belfast to play an intimate gig at the Empire Music Hall on Sunday, October 26th, 2008. We snuck our man Rigsy onto their tourbus to interview Gary Lightbody about the new album, living back in the homeland and some of the exciting artists emerging from the fast-growing music scene in the city.

Watch all of this and Dublin animators Eyebrowy's irreverent appraisal of Snow Patrol's history (made for ATL TV, series four) in the video window above...
