When ATL curated an evening celebrating the Northern Irish music scene to mark the re-opening of the Ulster Hall in March 2009, nobody was expecting Iain Archer to welcome his old bandmates on stage. But that's just what he did, and they gave us a beautiful acoustic version of 'Chasing Cars'.

We also grabbed few words with Nathan and Johnny in the relaxing surrounds of the artists' area at the Oxegen festival in July, 2009.

Before that, Snow Patrol returned to Belfast to play an intimate gig at the Empire Music Hall on Sunday, October 26th, 2008. We snuck our man Rigsy onto their tourbus to interview Gary Lightbody about the new album, living back in the homeland and some of the exciting artists emerging from the fast-growing music scene in the city.
