Arts-Live Northern Ireland

Arts Live is a series of interactive webcasts targeted at primary school pupils and their teachers, which aims to bring successful and exciting artists and their work into the classroom.

The programme recorded on Friday June 3 featured Kev F. Sutherland.

Kev is a comedian, writer, and comic artist who has illustrated Marvel Comics, The Beano, Doctor Who Adventures, The Flintstones, Red Dwarf, Gladiators, Funday Times and Spider-Man.

Since 2005, Sutherland has written, produced and performed as The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre, appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2007, in theatres internationally and on television. He also runs a comic art masterclass for school children teaching them to produce their own comic book in a day, and about comic book style art in TV and film.

The full series aims to introduce school children to various arts and culture strands in an engaging and participatory way. Keep checking back for deatils on further ARTS LIVE programmes coming after the summer.
