Lost
In Love
By Katie Taylor from Isham
That
rain.
That chill.
Those darkening skies.
That knock.
His
warmth.
Hands
in pockets, hunched, humming.
Huggable.
He turns to face me.
Ebony eavesdropping eyes.
Ecstasy.
Electric
smile.
Smouldering stalagmite stubble.
Stunning.
Stepping down the drive,
Drizzle trembling across our faces,
Our hands embrace.
Passing
lamps entangle our shadows.
Each enchanting encounter
Endless.
Meanwhile
the clouds tuck away the sun in
A golden glimmering bed,
Whispering tiny secrets to the nervous moon.
The
wind runs her faint feathery fingers
Through his liquorice locks.
Liberating.
Longing
gazes
Our faces luminous with laughter.
Living a dream.
Descending
the hill back home he holds me closer.
His happiness heats my hesitant heart.
Hopeful.
My
Hero.
At
the door we dwindle.
Drenched, he distributes a dewy kiss
On my clammy cheek.
Captivating.
The
night closes in,
He retreats,
Deteriorates into the darkness.
Left
in the lunar light.
Lost in love.
Now
hes gone.
Familiar drizzle and darkness.
Its
cold now.
Liquid daggers descend and dart down my face,
Shards of a shattered heart.
