Bern stops traffic

Some things shouldn't be seen - and this is definitely one of them!

In preparation for interviewing Jonathan Wilkes, who's starring in The Rocky Horror Show at Northampton's Derngate, BBC Radio Northampton presenter Bernie Keith got himself a new outfit.

Not a nice smart suit, oh no! But a PVC maid's outfit complete with thigh-length boots! It's enough to turn the milk sour.

"I've got the fish nets on, and I've got the pinny...but I'm never going to walk in these boots!" Bernie exclaimed after slipping into the PVC maid's outfit.

"I've never felt so self-conscious in my life!"

He then braved the shoppers in Northampton town centre by walking down Kettering Road.

Find out how he got on. Click here to listen to Bern picking his outfit, and then stopping traffic as he makes his way back to BBC Towers. (Real 56k, 9'26")
