The first ever K Factor contest was held on Wednesday 23rd July, at the Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering. The event was aimed at getting youngsters off the streets and helping them to avoid getting into trouble. The contest was a talent show, much like Britain's Got Talent and the X Factor. Acts included, bands, singers, dancers and other performers. Audience members were given a voting a card and helped to crown the winner of the first contest. Singer Chole Leigh came first, followed by Martin Prouse and the School Kid Rockers were third.
