Bob Walmsley

Bob Walmsley presents the lunchtime show on BBC Radio Northampton from 11am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Bob was born in Harlow, Essex, but don't hold that against him. He grew up in Durham and is a proud Northeasterner - so proud that at the age of 19 he couldn't wait to leave.

His first job was washing dishes in a posh bistro, and he went on to work in a trainer factory and a timeshare call centre. These jobs were far too much like hard work though, so Bob decided to pursue a career in radio. He began by making tea for Jim Bowen on his popular morning show on Radio Lancs.

He then moved to BBC Three Counties Radio as their consumer affairs reporter and has since presented numerous programmes all over the country. Bob's proudest radio moment was when he was threatened with a hammer whilst confronting a rogue builder.

Bob is now fighting for your rights on the Bob Walmsley Consumer Show here at BBC Radio Northampton. If you've got a problem, give him and the team a call on  01604 234455
