It's not just the Queen celebrating her 60th wedding anniversary

A woman from Northamptonshire will this year be marking her diamond wedding anniversary, along with the Queen.

This month, is not only a time of celebration for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, but also for a woman in Ecton.

Betty Cunningham married her husband Jock on 29th November, 1947 and will also be celebrating her Diamond wedding anniversary this year.

Not only that, but for her 50th wedding anniversary she received a letter from the Queen, wishing her the best for her big day.

A diamond anniversary paid in coupons!

Although the Queen's wedding day on 20th November, 1947 a glamorous and royal affair, Betty's big day was anything but!

Her wedding dress was paid for with coupons and her uncle made the wedding cake!
