Dr Peter Hill telling his ghost story

Dr Peter Hill in Newton

The Newton haunting

Watch a local ghost story - the mysterious tale of a young woman and a shocking discovery in a forgotten graveyard.

No matter where you go in Northamptonshire, you're sure to come across a ghost story.

The 'ghost' was seen at this house

We invited local historian Dr Peter Hill to retell one of the county's strangest tales. It's set in the tiny village of Newton, near Kettering, and involves sightings of a mysterious young woman who seemed to be wearing medieval clothes.

The story also involves a discovery, made in the 1970s, when skeletons of children were unearthed in a village garden.
