Saints loaned Newcastle duo

Northampton Saints have announced that Tim Visser and Ross Batty have been signed on a six-week loan from Newcastle Falcons.

The duo, both aged 20, will be training at Franklin's Gardens from Wednesday, 5th September.

Dutchman Tim Visser plays at wing while former England Schools player Ross Batty plays at hooker. Both signings have first team experience in the Premiership and European competition, and both were part of the successful Falcons side that won the recent Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham.

The move proves beneficial for the Saints and for the Falcons who have a policy of securing regular game time for their top young players.

Both Visser and Batty will be eligible for selection for the National League One trip to the Cornish Pirates on Sunday, 9th September.
