Zainabu with the camera

Gaudiosa, Teckla, Mary, Regina, Zainabu and Rehema from the Kiwohede Centre in Iringa, Tanzania, have come up with a film idea.

Kiwohede is an organization in Tanzania that provides support for girls who have escaped risky or abusive situations at home.

One risky situation is being employed as a domestic worker - young girls who do this work are sometimes called ‘house girls’.

Angel and Hassan

Angel, Rotha, Charles, Allen, Abu and Hassan from the Folk Development College in Iringa have produced a screenplay for their short film.

The film centres around the issue of employment and the difficulties that young people face as they leave school and start trying to earn money.

Experiments with a camera

In Northampton, members of the Royal & Derngate's On The Edge youth theatre company have been trying out the camera they'll use to make their movie.
