The next two months promises to be an exciting time for 10 young LGBT people involved in e-volution’s digital short film making project, writes Emily Tavakoly from the Northants Lesbian Gay & Bisexual Alliance. This is the first film making project the NLGBA has taken a lead role in and the first “home-grown” film to be shown at Northampton’s Lesbian and Gay film festival.

Practical workshops will cover all aspects of film making from camera techniques to post-production editing, script writing and story boarding, acting, lighting and sound techniques. The film will have its own original and unique soundtrack. The entire process is also being documented by using a video diary. Anyone can go into the “diary room” and talk with the camera about anything which has inspired them, how they're feeling and whatever pops into their head! This is a creative and experimental project which is developing each time the group meets and new ideas and experiences are explored. Very exciting….
The premier of the film will be shown as part of the National touring LGB Film Festival at Lings Forum on 15th September 2005. |
