I miss you when
It's cold out there
And raindrops fall
Upon the chair
I miss you when
The doorbell chimes
And another face
Interrupts my mind
I miss you when
The phone rings - why
Can't it be you
Again I sigh
I miss you when
A car goes past
And stops - but no -
Just like the last
People come and people go
They talk and talk
It's so-and-so
Or him and her
To chit and chat
Maybe this or maybe that
I watch the fire
And write this rhyme
I love you when
It's miss you time
