Footsteps In the Sand

Somewhere far away from here
The sea a secret keeps.
Whispering waves on silent shore,
A young girl gently sleeps.

She dreams of sometime still to come,
Tomorrow takes her hand
Then wakes and takes her safely home,
Leaving footsteps in the sand.

As shadows fade and bright stars gleam
The tracks of time remain
To show the way to those who dream -
And want to dream again.
