Abington Museum
Shakespeare's granddaughter lived here
William Shakespeare's granddaughter, Elizabeth Bernard, lived in this 15th century manor house (she's buried in the nearby church).

In 1899 the manor house was opened as a museum.

It has a variety of displays: Northamptonshire's military history, 19th Century fashion and a gallery of Northampton life. There's also a leathercraft gallery showing examples from around the world.

The museum is surrounded by the beautiful Abington Park.
