Image of Rushton Triangular LodgeThis unusual building was constructed in the 1590s by Sir Thomas Tresham. He was a devout Catholic and had been imprisoned because of his beliefs. Upon his release in 1593, Tresham designed the Triangular Lodge as a 'secret' demonstration of his faith. It echos the Holy Trinity by having three sides, three floors, three windows on each side on each floor...in fact, three of everything. The Lodge is maintained by

2 sun rating The building is very interesting, although the upkeep of the suroundings are not very well looked after, my dad used to be custodian here for 14 years he had great pride in his work and received a lot of mail from people as far as america austrailia and africa thanking him for an interesting day out. the office is an eyesore it shoud be of wood constuction and at the far end of the building, and there should be a bigger car park on the same side of the building for safety reasons. Miss E Bermingham, Corby
3 sun rating It doesn't take long to look around and there's not much to see inside, but it's an interesting building with a fascinating history. Parking on the verge and in a tiny layby outside (along a narrow country lane) is awful - and quite dangerous. The English Heritage office alongside the lodge is a bit of an eyesore.

Reviews:
fascinating and very interesting. intrigued by the communications aspect and how they made sure the supplies and agents were dropped into safe territory. John Canning, Northampton
A fascinating museum with too much to see at one visit. It's run by enthusiasts, so is rough and ready, but there's a wealth of information.

Reviews:
1 sun rating Rockingham Road will forever be, in my mind, the Mecca of all grounds. As a Lad I played footy with kettering "A' in the 60's and followed the "Poppies"for a lifetime. With me dad and my son we travelled on the bus to Wembley in79 to see the lads-and thereafter three generations followed the team until my dad died in 1991-We followed the team until I emigrated to Melbourne in 2002,but my son still is "on the ground" in the shed on the Britannia road side -on half way- to cheer the lads on. The ground perhaps needs a bit of a lick ,and if I win Tatts Lotto, I will be giving a dollar or so to Peter Mallinger to keep up the spirit of the 'Poppies". Good Luck in Conference North!!! Geoff Marshall - Melbourne, Australia - Aug 2004
