So you think you know how to play conkers? Make sure you're using the official world championship rules.

1

A toss of a coin decides who strikes first.
2
The lace between knuckle and nut must measure 8 inches.
3
The striker must aim at the conker and not deliberately miss.
4
Tangling of laces - or snags - will be noted. Three snags and you're out.
5
The striker has three shots. The opponent then has three shots. This continues until a conker is smashed.
6
If a game last more than five minutes, a truncated version of the game is played.

Are you using the world championship rules? Competitors are not allowed to use their own conkers, so there are no pickled, baked or varnished conkers.
