tiny Northants village of Aston held 38th annual World Conker Championships
on Sunday, 12th October. |

Local
competitor, Brian Stewart from Corby took the men's title, while
Debbie Oates from Walthamstow claimed the woman's title.
Over
350 competitors took part in and an audience of around 5,000 turned
out to watch.

I was at the conkerfest and would like to wish Debbie Oates all the congratulations in the world, she was truly magnificent and displayed some cracking conker skills.
I have still not managed to get past the 1st round in 3 attempts but aim to be king conker next year!!!!
