<<< previous

Follow this step-by-step guide for the BBC Norfolk valentine card which you can then customise for that special person in your life.

cut out a square from the card front.

Step 3

Cut a square out from the front of the card. This will make the window within which to hang a fabric heart.

sandwich a thread between a piece of material.

Step 4

Take a piece of material (we're using red but it's your choice) and a length of thread.

Fold the material in half and spread some glue over one of the inside sections.

Place your piece of thread down the centre of the glued side and then fold over the material to sandwich the thread in the middle. Press this firmly together and leave to dry.

draw a heart on the material.

Step 5

When dry, take your marker pen and draw a heart shape on to the material. Make sure the thread will end up coming out the top of the heart and that it will fit in the window of your card.
