You could pop to the card shop this Valentine's Day, but why not really show the person in your life that you care with a unique card?

Follow our step-by-step guide for a basic card which you can then customise for that special person in your life.

You will need:

A pair of scissors
Good quality A4 card
Glue
Pieces of material (A5), including some that is red
A black marker pen

To make your Valentine Card:

Step 1

Take the sheet of A4 card and fold it in half.

Step 2

Cover the front of the card with a lightweight glue and then place your material on top.

We've used a red gingham, but it's totally up to you.
Just see what you have got tucked away in a cupboard or drawer.

Once the glue is dry, trim off any excess.
