Z: Zoo

tiger.
Mischa the tiger

Banham Zoo in Norfolk houses more than 1`000 animals from around the world and 150 individual species, many of which are rare and endangered.

One of those rare animals is a Siberian tiger called Mischa.

A female tiger called Zaliv has travelled from Zurich to Banham Zoo to meet up with Mischa, as part of a European captive breeding programme.

The zoo hopes the pair will play their part in preventing the extinction of these proud beasts.
