The wind turbine towers over the Ecotech Centre

You can visit the UK's largest wind turbine at the Ecotech Centre in Swaffham.

At 100 metres tall from the tip of one of the three blades to the ground the turbine dominates the skyline of
Mid-Norfolk.

It is around the same height as Norwich Cathedral, 135 feet taller than Nelson’s Column and can produce power for the centre and about half of Swaffham's 6000 people.

There is a viewing platform almost 70 metres up the tower which can be reached by visitors who have to climb around 300 steps to take in the views of the surrounding countryside.

You can also look around the Environmental Discovery Centre, which gives you a hands-on chance to look at the problems facing the Earth, and discover what you can do to help.
