Spreading
the world about the significance of using appropriate
tools
|
We are now
trying to catch up in the garden after a long spell tied up
exhibiting and demonstrating tools at several events and shows
across Norfolk.
It is now
necessary more than ever to find new and easier ways to enable
us ( with much help from family and friends) to continue with
our sizeable garden, much of which is becoming natural habitat.
Barbara’s
osteoarthritis is becoming more of a problem, affecting not
only her hands and wrists, but hips, left knee, and feet. I
have recently experienced one ‘unstable’ and many other angina
attacks, and a car accident early in the summer has reduced
neck movement and left some further discomfort from my ankylosing
spondylitis condition.
Out and
about at exhibitions, talks and demonstrations, I have had several
approaches to help people by devising and adapting tools for
gardening.
I will be
dealing with some of those during the winter when there is not
so much to do in the garden, and my vascular condition curtails
outside activities most of the time.
The neglect
of our garden has resulted in many of the weeds growing massively,
and several different tools are needed to get the job done with
any efficiency. This has given us the chance to try out some
of our latest weeding devices, and to re-assess tools that we
have had for a while, and used previously in less arduous conditions.
