Nearly 100,000 people visited the the Royal Norfolk Show, held over two days at the Costessey showground, just west of Norwich.

The two-day agricultural event showcased the county's food and farming industries.

The Prince of Wales made his first appearance at the event as President of the Royal Norfolk Show.

He spent some time looking at the cattle, sheep, rare breeds and met some of the farmers.

The BBC decamped from their home at The Forum in Norwich to take over a stand at the showground.

They shared a marquee with Norfolk County Council to offer visitors a lively range of guests, performances and showcases.

Presenting challenge

CBBC presenters Jake Humphrey and Angelica Bell met fans at the BBC tent on Wednesday.

Harry Potter's Percy Weasley, actor Chris Rankin, also made an appearance to keep muggles captured under his spell.

Wannabe weather forecasters were able to take their turn in front of the map with some help from BBC Look East weather presenter Julie Reinger.

Visitors were also invited to bring their old photos of previous Royal Norfolk Shows to contribute to the BBC's Digital Norfolk Project.

People had their photos digitally enhanced for free and shared their stories with the BBC team, who will publish them on the web.

BBC Radio Norfolk's assistant editor Peter Cook said:

"We missed last year's show because we were moving to our new home at The Forum. This year we were delighted to be back and try something a little different.

"Teaming up with Norfolk County Council, we gave visitors the chance to sample a little bit of everything we do at The Forum: radio, online and television," he added.
