A medieval city like Norwich has a lot of secrets
lurking in its murky past.
One man was convinced that the grisly and ghostly
side of the city's history would prove entertaining to visitors
and locals alike.
Inspired by horror tours he'd taken in York, David
Chisnell decided to take people walking on the spooky side of the
street.

"I researched some stories, took some leaflets
into the Tourist Board, and I always remember as I left the young
girl said to me 'Don't build your hopes up'. Now we take about 150
people round each summer," he said.
Those brave enough to promenade with the paranormal
will discover that David and his team of 15 have arranged plenty
of surprises for them on the way.
David takes on the role of a medieval storyteller
- albeit one who is dressed rather like Dracula - to guide his guests
through the thrills and spills of the Norwich ghost experience.

But prospective ghostwalkers should be wary. Although
the evening will be informative, the aim is to make the walkers
jump.
"We really do scare people," said David.
"If you go past a coffin and a hand comes out and grabs your
leg you're gonna scream.
"But you find that people do scream and then
they immediately laugh," he added.
