There are so many new things you can try this summer - from tennis, to football and sailing. Seven-year-old Boo has been taking tennis lessons. Here she writes about her first time on the court.

I went to play tennis at the East Anglia Tennis and Squash club on Lime Tree Road, Norwich. They run the lessons during the school holidays.

There were 40 children so they put us in four groups with 10 people in each.

My teachers were Chris and Hannah and from 9.30am to 3.00pm we played different ball games and had races. I won the running race.

The races were to warm everyone up. Then, we played lots of different games like squash and garden path.

In garden path the teacher hit the ball on to the wall and we had to hit it back and then we had to do it again until we missed.

If you miss you have to go and sit in the corner. I didn't mind at all because it's teaching you not to be a sore looser.

Me and my friend Amber had a really nice time. On Monday we finished the day by playing rounders.

We took it in turns to be on the batting side and on the fielding side. I was on the winning team we scored the most runs.

It was brilliant!
