Stairways will link up to the new 'long bar' running along the current Dick Condon gallery on the first floor. Theatre staff hope the improved bar space and access will stop guests having to wade 'against the tide' during intervals.

Michael Hastings I beleive that these improvements will help the theatre move into the 21st century. I would like to say that all seats in the theatre are uncomfortable and I feel that attention and money should be spent on the seating in the stalls as well as this detracts from the great productions shown at the Theatre Royal.
