Glenn Roeder - The journey to getting sacked

BBC Norfolk looks back at the reign of former Norwich City manager Glenn Roeder. Roeder took over on Tuesday, 30 October, 2007, and was sacked on Wednesday, 14 January, 2009.
Glenn Roeder has now departed from his role of manager of Norwich City, but what did he achieve while he was with the club?

30 October, 2007 - Norwich appoint Roeder
Glenn Roeder signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the bottom-of-the-table, Championship club, Norwich City.
1 November, 2007 - Makes first signing
The new manager wastes no time, making his first signing within 48 hours. Defender Martin Taylor joins on loan from Birmingham.
2 November, 2007 - Strengthens management
Newcastle United coach Lee Clark agrees to join Norwich City as assistant manager.
4 November, 2007 - Baptism of fire
Glenn Roeder's first match in charge ends in a 2-2 draw with local-rivals Ipswich Town.
24 November, 2007 - First win
Norwich take three points for the first time since Roeder took charge with a 2-0 victory over Coventry at Carrow Road.
4 December, 2007 - Off the bottom
Norwich beat Plymouth 2-1 and move off the bottom of the Championship.
4 January, 2008 - Positive signings
Glenn Roeder signs Newcastle midfielder Matthew Pattison permanently and Ryan Bertrand on loan from Chelsea.
9 February, 2008 - Super Ched
On loan striker Ched Evans scores the winner for Norwich against Cardiff, taking them up into the top half of the table eyeing up a spot in the play-offs.
16 February, 2008 - Unbeaten run ends
Norwich City lose 4-0 to Leicester and end their 13-game unbeaten run.
8 April, 2008 - Roeder faces FA charge
Norwich City manager Glenn Roeder is charged with improper conduct by the Football Association.
4 May, 2008 - Safe from relegation
After starting his role as manager at the bottom of the Championship, Glenn Roeder finishes the season in 17th place, losing on the last day to Sheffield Wednesday.
6 May, 2008 - Summer clear-out begins
Roeder begins his clear-out of players. Notably, fans' favourite Darren Huckerby is released by the club along with Fakenham's Jarvis brothers, Rossi and Ryan.
17 July, 2008 - Roeder promises signings
After a quiet summer with few players coming into the Norwich City dressing rooms, Roeder says new signings are imminent.
23 July, 2008 - New faces
New players begin to arrive at Carrow Road. Roeder signs a winger and a striker.
9 August, 2008 - Not a day at the office
Norwich begin the new season in the Championship with a 2-0 defeat away to Coventry.
September, 2008 - The Sibierski effect
Roeder signs French midfielder Antoine Sibierski on loan from Wigan. Sibierski makes an instant impact, scoring the winner in Norwich's game against Plymouth.
1 October, 2008 - Lita turns yellow and green
After inconsistent results on the pitch, Roeder lands striker Leroy Lita on loan from Reading. Lita shows his quality as Norwich smash Wolves and Doncaster.
7 December, 2008 - Norwich turn over Ipswich
Norwich City show what they are capable of by beating local rivals Ipswich Town 2-0. The result helps them move five points clear of the relegation zone.
11 December, 2008 - Clark turns back on Roeder
Norwich City assistant manager Lee Clark leaves the Canaries to become manager of Huddersfield.
December, 2008 - Three points out of a possible 12
After the fine win against Ipswich, Norwich can only manage one win in four games.
3 January, 2009 - FA Cup Third Round
Norwich settle for a 1-1 draw against Championship strugglers Charlton Athletic in the Third Round of the FA Cup.
10 January, 2009 - Another league defeat
Norwich suffer another defeat in the Championship at the hands of Sheffield United. The result leaves the Canaries just one place above the relegation zone.
13 January, 2009 - Norwich failure in the Cup
Norwich City lose 0-1 at Carrow Road in the second leg of their FA Cup match against Charlton Athletic. Despite the result, the Canaries boss is confident he can turn things around. Fans watching the game were not as confident and some protested outside the ground after the match.
14 January, 2009 - Glenn Roeder sacked by Norwich
Manager Glenn Roeder has been sacked by Norwich City. His contract is terminated with immediate effect.
