We set the band up earlier this year after being frustrated that so many good musicians who can play well seem to disregard the audience. We love to dress up in snake-skin suits, tight leather trousers, big hats, make-up and platform shoes - think Jimi Hendrix crossed with David Bowie but in an up-to-date style. We get audience members up on stage to play our instruments, wear our clothes or serenade them in our own Pink style! Local pedigree I met Quinno Pink when I played for Sonic Storm. He was playing with well-known Norfolk bands The Floating Greyhounds and Icaris Vision and also teaching Sonic's bass player.

He's the eye candy for the girls and ends up doing a 'naked' set during our gig! Mart Pink was a session drummer with jazz and show bands and also played for Men In Specs, around Ipswich and Suffolk. He joined us after I met him in a band called KGB. He isn’t a full-on rock drummer but just flows with funk and does fills like no other drummer can do. We play to show people why live music is fun and entertaining. If you want to listen to a band there are hundreds in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge to choose from, but if you also want to become part of the act then that's where we come in. We try to tape or video our live gigs, so come along and shout loud enough and you’ll hear yourself on our next CD! Originals and covers We play a set which is divided between our own material and covers including funked-up versions of Pink Floyd, Cream, Hendrix, Prince and Lenny Kravitz. Most of our own songs are tongue-in-cheek with a Led Zeppelin-style funk to them. These are songs to play live and we always get great audience participation. If you want to see an act that makes The Darkness look bland then check us out - the next big thing from East Anglia. Our aim is to support top artists touring the UK and eventually have top artists supporting us. If that means we need a record deal and a manager or agent then that’s what we will do. |
