In the lead up to Valentine's Day 2006, BBC Voices has launched a story-writing festival - This Norfolk Love. Part of the This Norfolk Life series, the project gives people across the county the chance to write about themselves, their lives, where they live, their thoughts and feelings. "Last year we ran a series called This Norfolk Life asking people to write about their thoughts on the county. It was so successful that we are now repeating it," said BBC Voices producer Gary Standley. "This time though, we want people to tell us their thoughts on love," he added. Making history This Norfolk Love could make history too. All of the submissions will be handed to the Norfolk Record Office as part of the BBC Voices People's Archive initiative, so future generations will be able to discover what love meant in 2006. "We want people to write up to 500 words, fact or fiction, inspired by the title This Norfolk Love," said Gary. "You can write it as a story or as the most romantic of all art forms, a poem. It has to be your own work and it must not have been published elsewhere. "Other than that, the rest is up to your imagination and willingness to tell us your innermost feelings," he added. What is love? Whether you want to write about a partner, a family member, friend, or just your thoughts on love in general we would like to hear from you. Whether you are single, in any kind of relationship, lucky or unlucky in love - your writing could help reveal how people in Norfolk feel about the thing that makes the world go round. You can even write about your love of a place, or the things you feel passionate about. If you are new to writing this is a great way to get started and we also have a free Writing Toolkit packed with advice and tips. Taking part To tell us what love means to you, or about your most meaningful love affair you need to complete our application form and along with your story or poem, send us a photo and a few details about yourself which we can use when showcasing your story. You can also submit your story and photo by e-mail to the BBC Voices Centre. All submissions must be made by 14 February 2006.
