During New Talent's Be A Musical Theatre Performer scheme in 2006 Johndeep beat off over 2,000 other auditonees to become one of 15 people selected to work alongside top industry professionals in a three-day boot camp.

He progressed into the final five, which gave him a wildcard entry into the preliminary round of the Professional Voice of Musical Theatre competition. This meant he could showcase his talent to an influential panel of judges.

Johndeep then made it into the final 12 performers in 'Any Dream Will Do', BBC One's search for a new Joseph to star on the West End.

Two and a half years ago I discovered that I could sing, loved it and decided that that is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life!

Johndeep is currently balancing his musical theatre campaign with working as an office administrator in Birmingham.

He studied at Brunel University and the Royal Academy of Music, where his performance credits included Brother Ben Owens in Happy End, Jeff in Bells Are Ringing and George Pepper in The Red Peppers.

I am truly passionate about music and performance and I would love the chance to show that on a stage.
