Koala numbers fall in the wild

They're one of Australia's most famous animals.

But koala numbers have fallen and now there are fewer than 40,000 left in the wild.

The biggest threats to koalas are dog attacks, road traffic, and the loss of places to live.

But people are trying to find new ways to keep the creatures safe - Ayshah's been finding out more.
