The kids living next to giant telescopes in UK and South Africa

Children living near Jodrell Bank Observatory in the UK and the Square Kilometre Array in South Africa have something that unites them - giant radio telescopes on their doorsteps.

The telescopes' joint mission is to study the skies and find out if life might exist outside of our planet.

So we decided to introduce kids from these areas to each other to chat about what they have in common.

They talked about their school trips to visit the telescopes and what information they hope they will discover.
