One of the most dazzling meteor showers of the year will be lighting up the sky this weekend.
The Geminid shooting stars are due to peak overnight on Sunday 14 December.
With the Moon absent for most of the night, the chances of a spectacular show are said to be excellent but only if skies are clear.
By 2am on Monday morning, the showers will be almost overhead for people watching it in the UK.
