We look back at some key moments during David Moyes' 10 months in charge of Manchester United.
How things can change so quickly... David Moyes was all smiles back in July as he took over as manager of Premier League champions Manchester United. Who knew that 10 months later he would be sacked?
He was chosen by Sir Alex Ferguson, who stepped down from the top job last summer after 26 years in charge.
After an average start to the season, United hit a new low when they were beaten on home turf by West Brom 2-1 in September - something the Baggies hadn't done in 35 years!
Three months later, there was more embarrassment for Moyes when United lost at home to his former club Everton 1-0.
In January, United were knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round by Swansea. It was the Welsh club's first ever victory at Old Trafford.
Two days later, United's defeat to Sunderland in the League Cup semi-final first leg was the their third defeat in a row - something that hadn't happened since 2001!
From the 'Chosen One' to the 'Wrong One'... A group of unhappy United fans organised for this banner to fly over Old Trafford before their Aston Villa match in March. Luckily for Moyes, United won that game 4-1.
United's last chance for a trophy this season was dashed in April when they were knocked out by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.
United's Premier League defeat to Everton on Sunday was possibly the final straw. It means that United will miss out on the Champions League next season for the first time since 1995-6. They're also going to finish the season with their lowest ever Premier League points tally. The Chosen One became the Un-Chosen One...
