Australia beat England in Ashes series

Australia have thrashed England once again to win back the Ashes.

They won the third Test in Perth by 150 runs and are now 3-0 up in the five-match series.

It's Australia's first Ashes triumph since 2006-07 and comes just four months after England won the series in England in the summer of 2013.

Australia needed five wickets for victory in Perth and had them all by early afternoon, despite a century from Ben Stokes in only his second Test.

England still have to play in Melbourne and Sydney for the remaining two Tests.

Guide: What are the Ashes?

Australia have won the previous matches by 381 runs in Brisbane, 218 in Adelaide and now 150 in Perth and have been by far the better team in almost every respect.

England on the other hand will go to Melbourne and Sydney in real danger of losing the series 5-0 - what's known as a whitewash.

The defeat is the end of an era for England which has seen them win three Ashes series in a row.
