Cheeky monkeys raiding homes

A village in Thailand is under siege from a gang of very cheeky monkeys.

They creep into houses at night, raid the fridge and steal household stuff - and there's hundreds of them.

Families now have to lock their windows, doors and even their fridges.

Some villagers have taken up slingshots to try scare the monkeys away.

A wildlife charity says it's not the monkeys that are invading human land, it's the other way around.

The World Wide Fund for Nature charity in Thailand said the monkeys are breaking in and pinching food because humans have moved in on their natural habitat.

But some of the villagers blame people who have been feeding the primates.

They say this has encouraged the mischievous monkeys to just come and help themselves!
