Nel visits the Transplant Games

  • 19 August 2013

We've had the Olympic Games and the Paralympics - now check out this sporting event with a difference.

Everybody competing at the Transplant Games has had an organ transplant.

People who have problems with their heart, liver or kidneys can get new ones if they are donated by someone else. Operations like these save lives.

Around 150 kids were involved in the Transplant Games - so Nel went to meet them.

Although the Games are a lot of fun there is a serious message.

Organisers want more people to know about organ donation so that people with health problems can get the lifesaving treatment they need.
