Keeper attacked by tiger in UK zoo

A keeper has died after being attacked by a tiger at a zoo in the Lake District.

Sarah McClay was attacked by a Sumatran tiger in an enclosure at the South Lakes Wild Animal Park in Cumbria, on Friday.

She was taken to hospital but died from her injuries.

Police and zoo staff are investigating exactly what happened.

The zoo have said that at no time was there a risk of any of the visitors to the park being in danger.
