Richard Hammond talks to NR about story competition
Top Gear's Richard Hammond can tell you a tale or two, after all he drives super fast cars, works all over the world and gets to do super cool shows.
But, his latest job is all about your stories. The presenter, who also starred in CBBC's Blast Lab, is a judge in this year's 500 words competition.
Richard is on the judging panel along with top authors like Dame Jacqueline Wilson (she wrote Tracy Beaker!).
It's a chance for all young writers to get involved and create their very own short story that's no more than 500 words (about two sides of paper).
It's open to everyone aged 13 or younger and there are two age categories; 10-13 and 9 and under. Competition closes 7pm Friday 22 February.
