Dolphin 'super-pod' surprises tourists in California
A group of tourists have been treated to the rare sight of a "super-pod" off the coast of California.
The boat's captain said thousands of the creatures swam up around the tourists who were taking a trip near San Diego.
Marine mammal expert Sarah Wilkin said the dolphins may have been in the area searching for their favourite foods, herrings and sardines.
The animals normally travel in groups of 15 to 200, so a "super-pod" of this size is a pretty rare sight!
