Horsemeat scandal 'absolutely shocking' says Stefan Gates

Incredible Edibles and Gastronuts presenter Stefan Gates says the horsemeat scandal is "absolutely shocking".

He told Newsround it's really important for us to be able to trust what food companies tell us is in the products we're eating.

Lots of people in countries such as France and Italy eat horsemeat and it isn't dangerous if properly prepared.

The food expert said the best way to find out exactly what's in your food is to ask lots of questions.
