Forecasters are predicting heavy snowfall for much of the UK tonight and a severe weather warning is in place for parts of South Wales.

A covering of 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected to fall in some areas which could cause problems on the roads.

Parts of South Wales have received a rare "red warning" from forecasters, which means that people living there should take action.

But Northern Ireland and much of the south of England will see snow too.

Much of the UK has already seen snow and freezing temperatures this week.

Many schools have remained closed for a third day running in Norfolk.
